We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Christ is risen. He is truly risen! By death He trampled death, and to those in the tombs He granted life!
I currently serve as a Catholic missionary with FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students). After transferring to Virginia Tech and experiencing a powerful conversion, I felt called to share the truth and beauty of the Catholic faith with other college students.
Through teaching RCIA, leading Bible studies, and having one-on-one conversations with seekers and skeptics, I’ve seen firsthand how Jesus transforms lives. Now, I serve full-time on campus, helping students encounter Christ and equipping them to share their faith with others.
Though my journey began with plans for military service, God redirected my path through unexpected trials—ultimately showing me that His mission field was the college campus. I am honored to walk with students during some of the most formative years of their lives, inviting them into deeper relationship with Christ and His Church.
When I arrived at college, I was like many young Catholics. I had been baptized but was not well catechized. I thought I understood my faith, but I did not know Jesus personally. I searched for truth in politics, relationships, and worldly success, but none of it satisfied. I came dangerously close to walking away from the Church altogether.
Everything began to change when I asked Jesus one simple question. I asked Him, “What is the fullness of the truth?” Over time, He revealed that the answer was not just a concept but a person. He is the truth. As I began to study and pray, I realized the Church He founded is where that truth lives in its fullness. Letting go of sin and giving my life to Him was the most freeing decision I have ever made.
At Virginia Tech, I started teaching RCIA and leading weekly discussions with Protestant students. That is where I discovered the deep joy of walking with others toward Christ. Later, at the SEEK conference, I met a FOCUS missionary whose story closely mirrored my own. That moment confirmed what God had been quietly preparing in my heart. I knew I was being called to this mission.
When I got to college, I was like so many young Catholics. I had been baptized but not well catechized. I thought I understood my faith, but I did not know Christ personally. I was close to walking away from the Church entirely. Everything changed when I started asking deeper questions and realized the truth I had been searching for was already in the Church that Jesus Himself founded.
Now I have the chance to walk with students who are in the same place I once was. Through Bible studies, personal mentorship, and living out the Catholic faith with joy, I am helping others rediscover the beauty of being Catholic. When you support this mission, you are helping renew the Church by raising up a new generation of Catholics who know their faith, live it fully, and are equipped to share it with others. This is how we build the Church from the inside out, by forming hearts one person at a time.
As a missionary, I depend completely on the generosity of mission partners who believe in what God is doing on campus. Your support allows me to be physically and spiritually present to students during the most formative years of their lives.
You are not just helping me get to campus. You are investing in the renewal of the Catholic Church. You are helping to form future priests, religious sisters, holy marriages, and faithful lay leaders. This mission is not mine alone. It is ours.
I would be honored to partner with you in bringing the love of Christ to the next generation.
