“The world offers you comfort. But you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness.”

Howdy! I am a first year Missionary at Texas A&M University.
Gig ‘Em.
I was baptized Catholic and growing up I went to mass on Sunday. It may have seemed like I knew the faith but in my heart, it never felt personal. Over time that distance grew into doubt.
I attended Florida State University and I found what I thought were the answers. I joined a fraternity, chased positions in student government, and poured everything I had into building the right image. My reputation became what I worshiped. I was desperate for something real and lost in my identity..
The questions I was asking myself Who am I? What am I made for? were questions I tried to outrun. Eventually, they became invitations and I finally stopped running and let God answer them.
Throughout college and through the witness of FOCUS missionaries who actually lived what they believed, something started to shift in me. They were free in a way I had never seen before. And through their friendship, and through the grace of God that I kept quietly saying yes to, I began to realize the truth I had been made for more. I can’t help but to share it, too.
As a FOCUS missionary, I have a great opportunity to rely on the financial and spiritual support of mission partners. Your support sends me onto campus. It’s what allows me to show up every day for students who are searching for the fundamental truths of their life.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
