We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I have the honor and privilege to serve at Valparaiso University in Indiana! I am excited to start my first year with a great team and the love of God and his mission for me!
Growing up Catholic, I always thought I always knew what that meant. I would show up to Sunday mass, wait for my parents to finish talking to everyone, and then go home to sleep or occasionally go out for brunch. My parents found great joy and interest in their faith so I followed them because I wanted to make them happy. When COVID-19 hit, it was during my first semester in college. Everything was shut down from classes, restaurants, sports, and mass as well. This gave me an excuse to stop my Sunday visits and I unknowingly lost a huge part of myself.
During this time, however, the Lord did not stop pulling at my heart. Towards the end of my sophomore year of college, I was invited to a non-denominational church service. I reasoned that it had been a while since I had gone to some form of church and maybe receiving some (much-needed) help might be a good thing. After returning to my dorm and yearning to know Christ even deeper, I immediately made plans to go to the St. Stephen Catholic Student Center. I had no idea what this feeling was. All I felt was a strong calling home. After a while, I found myself coming back more and more, and the two years I spent at St. Stephens showed me the more I said yes to His will, the more fruit I would bear. It was there that I learned to pray, serve, and belong.
This year, I have decided to give my biggest “yes” (right now) to God by agreeing to be his missionary. This new chapter in my life is a very exciting one as I am ready to “Go and make disciples” (MT 28:19) and To know Jesus Christ and fulfill his great commission.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
