Where I serve

I am blessed to be able to serve at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland for my first year on mission. I am excited to be able to share the gospel with student-athletes while growing in authentic friendships throughout the school year.

My Story

Entering college I never thought about divine intimacy or how much I needed it in my life. Growing up in an athletic family sports were my life. This translated into college were I played collegiate baseball at Montclair State University in Montclair NJ while studying for a Masters degree in accounting. After playing my sport for so long I found my identity as a person by playing my sport. I measured my self-worth based on how well or poorly I played. I was truly living my life wanting to be known and recognized for my athletic ability and performance.

This was until the spring semester of my Sophomore year that I realized that things need to change. I began going to Sunday mass on campus and I was invited to lunch by a FOCUS missionary on campus who showed me how much I was loved and appreciated by God. By participating in Bible studies, going to daily mass, and growing in authentic friendships with others on campus I finally understood what being loved by God actually meant. This lead to wanting to lead Christ with other students as well. In my Junior – Graduate years in college I began to live out my faith by lead a men’s Bible study with my baseball teammates while going to daily Mass and Adoration.

As a missionary, my desire is to lead students to find Christ. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want everyone to know that they are made for a loving relationship with Christ.
