Where I serve

I have been invited by the Lord to serve at the University of Kansas, focusing on student-athlete outreach. As a former athlete, I am fired up to help lead athletes into a deeper relationship with God.

My Story

Growing up in small town York, Nebraska, I was blessed to grow up in a Catholic family that exposed me through many experiences to the faith and encouraged me to take it seriously. As I grew up, I figured out that I was pretty good at hitting a little white ball and began to devote all of my time into becoming the best golfer that I could be.

Entering college, I was fortunate to live out every Nebraska kid’s dream and play for the Huskers on the golf team (GBR!). While I encountered a FOCUS missionary my freshman year, I had other plans for what I wanted college to look like. While I gave my best attempt to avoid Jesus by busying myself with golf, school, and all the other things that a college kid does, He pursued me relentlessly and revealed Himself to me in December of my senior year. Four years of college wasn’t quite enough, so I returned for my graduate year to play one more season for the Big Red. During this time, getting to know the Lord in a deeper way through the sacraments, prayer, and community. He also put a desire in my heart to serve Him and share the joy that He gave me with others!

I am so thankful that Jesus encountered me through a FOCUS missionary, and honored that he has invited me to help introduce him to others so that “they may have life, and have it more abundantly” (Jn 10:10).
