Where I serve
I have been called to serve my first year of mission at California State Stanislaus! Go Warriors!
My Story
Growing up I was certain I knew God. I knew of Him at least, but I didn’t know His love, only His power. Because of this I feared Him. I was living a checkbox faith where I felt I had to earn His approval. I failed to recognize the fact that He wants a deep and personal relationship with me. It wasn’t until my first SEEK conference that I experienced my first Eucharistic Adoration and understood His presence in the Eucharist, and in that moment I fell in love with Him. I longed for a relationship with Christ, and once I began to pursue that relationship, it became so clear that He had been there all along waiting for me patiently to turn to Him. Since then, I have committed my life to pursuing Christ and am continuing to learn more and more about His love and mercy.
I am preparing to begin my first year as a FOCUS missionary and will be graduating from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Mathematics Secondary Education.
Al crecer, tenía la certeza de conocer a Dios. Al menos sabía de Él, pero no conocía su amor, solo su poder. Por eso le temía. Vivía una fe limitada, donde sentía que debía ganarme su amor. No reconocí que Él desea una relación profunda y personal conmigo. No fue hasta mi primera conferencia de SEEK que experimenté mi primera Adoración Eucarística en donde comprendí su presencia en la Eucaristía, y en ese momento me enamoré de Él. Deseaba una relación con Cristo, y una vez que comencé a buscarla, me quedó claro que Él había estado ahí todo el tiempo, esperando pacientemente que me acercara a Él. Desde entonces, he dedicado mi vida a buscar a Cristo y sigo aprendiendo sobre su amor y misericordia.
Me estoy preparando para comenzar mi primer año como misionera de FOCUS y me graduaré de la Universidad Eastern Washington con una Licenciatura en Artes en Matemáticas para la Educación Secundaria.

In saying yes to FOCUS, I have also said yes to trusting that the Lord will provide in all aspects of my life. As I begin this new phase of life as a missionary, I ask first and foremost for your prayers. That the Lord might give me the courage to do His will, but also the weakness to depend on Him through it all. As one of my patrons, St. Catherine of Siena, once said “Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire“, and I hope to be who God means for me to be!
