We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hey! My name’s Tim and I’m a FOCUS missionary with my wife, Emily, and my daughter, Catherine, and we serve at the University of Pennsylvania!
I’ll be serving in my fifth year as a missionary, and will be serving as the Team Director for our missionary team at UPenn!
As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to an encounter with Christ. My life has been transformed by Jesus through encounters with true and authentic witnesses to His love and goodness. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. This is what changed my life in my time at Rowan University. Christ met me through my friend Eric! Eric met me where I was, became a true friend of mine, shared the truth and joy of the gospel with me, and called me higher into a life with Christ at the center. This is the method Christ modeled for us as He set out on mission to bring the entirety of humanity back into union with Himself. I’ve been blessed to witness many students at Penn and West Chester make Christ the center of their lives and begin to walk with other students themselves.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. Please feel free to reach out to me, either by phone or email, to inquire more about the mission to bring about authentic and lasting encounters with Christ to the students here at Penn. I’m always excited and willing to share in this great mission with all of you! Phil 4:14-20
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
