We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
The Lord has invited me to serve at the University of Texas at San Antonio!
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, in a culturally Catholic family. From a young age, I had a deep devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe, who played a significant role in leading me back to her Son.Â
At a young age, my family experienced a difficult hardship that left me searching for comfort in places that could never truly satisfy. Yet the Lord was continually pursuing me, patiently waiting for me to allow Him into my heart and console me.
Throughout high school, I encountered Jesus through various retreats and conferences, especially in the Eucharist. Through countless moments of Adoration and Mass, I fell deeper in love with Him. I had the privilege of attending the University of Texas at Austin, and upon entering college, I had the freedom to seek Christ intentionally and began attending Sunday Mass on my own. Through God’s providence, I met my best friend during office hours, who invited me to John 15, a freshman ministry at the University Catholic Center. There, I began to understand the beauty of the Church’s teachings in a new way.Â
During the spring semester of my freshman year, I attended Longhorn Awakening, where the Lord profoundly freed me from burdens I had carried for years through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. I began serving through various leadership roles within Longhorn Awakening and inviting others to experience the freedom I had encountered. The Lord also invited me to use my gifts to serve the Spanish-speaking community through Navegantes, where I learned the importance of creating spaces where people can encounter Christ in their own language and culture.Â
As my relationship with Christ deepened, I felt called to accompany others in their faith. I led a bible study, participated in discipleship, and learned the beauty of walking with others toward Christ. Through these experiences, I came to realize that the Christian life is not meant to be lived alone. We are called to journey together in this pilgrimage of life so that one day we may rejoice in Heaven together.
During my senior year, the Lord called me to serve His children as a teacher. Through my pre-kindergarten classroom, I came to understand more deeply Christ’s words: “Unless you become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” My students became living witnesses of joy, trust, simplicity, and dependence on God. Through them, the Lord taught me lessons that transformed my own heart.
At SEEK 2026, while praying before the Blessed Sacrament during Adoration, I heard the Lord inviting me to mission. In that moment, I realized that I desired to be for others what so many people had been for me throughout college: someone who would walk alongside them and invite them into a deeper relationship with Christ. For this reason, I applied to become a FOCUS missionary so that I may accompany others on the pilgrimage of life, helping them encounter Jesus Christ and journey together toward our ultimate goal: Heaven.
Just as the Lord invited me into mission, He extends that invitation to you. Through your prayers and financial partnership, you help make it possible for me to accompany young women, walk with them in discipleship, and lead them closer to Christ. Entrusting this mission to the care of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Mother Thrice Admirable of Schoenstatt, I trust that every prayer offered and every gift given will bear fruit in this life and eternal fruit in Heaven.Â

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
