Beverly Tauke has practiced in Virginia clinical settings for more than 20 years. While collaborating with diverse church communities, for eight years she facilitated psycho-education for a Washington, D.C. faith-based program for homeless men and women typically impacted by addiction and incarceration. Her work with clients across the socio-economic-ethnic spectrum is also informed by years working with Chicago housing project youth and with poverty and war-ravaged populations in Africa while a Kenya-based college instructor and as a communications professional on Capitol Hill.
Beverly integrates faith concepts with research in emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being, with particular focus on resilience and trauma-informed therapeutic concepts. Such cohesion of faith and reason shapes her educational and conference presentations and creates a tool for spiritual, emotional and relationship calibration in her book, Healing Your Family Tree, by SaltRiver/Tyndale House.
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia, Beverly Tauke serves on the Catholic Charities Board of the Arlington Diocese, on the Board of the Catholic Social Workers National Association and for ten years served on the Board of Governors of Bishop Ireton High School, Alexandria, Virginia. She has served as an adjunct professor at the Catholic University of America, where she earned a Master of Social Work degree after earning a Master of Arts degree in Communication from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois. She and her husband are parents of an adult son and daughter and grandparents of an exuberant toddler grandson.
