Where I serve

I am going to be serving at Iowa State University starting this fall. Go cyclones!!!

My Story

I knew from a very young age that God loved me and cared for me, but I didn’t truly understand the reality of that statement. Growing up, God was always a priority in my life, but I didn’t actually know who He was. When I got to college, it became clear that I didn’t have a relationship with my God. I found myself living a life without meaning or purpose—trapped in a lifestyle that was never going to satisfy me.

Through my sister and many others who took the time to invest in me and love me, I came to know Christ. By the grace of God, I attended a FOCUS event called SEEK during winter break of my sophomore year. There, I had a radical encounter with the Lord in adoration. For the first time in my life, I truly felt the presence of God and knew He cared for me. The Lord convicted my heart in a beautifully overwhelming way. Through the sacrament of confession, where I received God’s mercy, I slowly made my way back to Him.

Getting involved with my Newman Center at NDSU, it allowed me to grow in a relationship with Christ. Through His love, I’ve found deep freedom, healing, and hope. I’ve experienced the overwhelming peace and goodness the Lord has in store for me, and my life has been forever changed.

Because of the witness of so many people who invested in me, and because of the goodness of God I’ve come to know, I now desire to give back to God and His Church by becoming a missionary. The Lord’s invitation has been gentle, and it has taken courage to say yes—but I’m excited to grow in deeper intimacy with Him and to walk with others on that same journey.
