We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“You have made us for Yourself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You”
~St. Augustine
I was raised Catholic by parents who were deeply invested in the Church, and I’m incredibly grateful for that foundation. Still, for much of my early life, my faith was something I participated in because of them, not something I owned for myself. That began to change in high school when I started attending youth groups and retreats. For the first time, I encountered a God who wasn’t just a part of my upbringing, but Someone who was personally inviting me into a relationship.
In college, that relationship deepened. Surrounded by faithful friends and mentors, I began to experience the freedom and joy that comes from making Christ the true center of my life. I followed Him through seasons of discernment, including time in seminary, and I came to realize that full-time ministry wasn’t just something I was drawn to; it was where I would be most alive and most faithful to God’s call.
Since my freshman year, FOCUS missionaries have been a huge part of my journey. They invested in me, walked with me, and modeled what it looks like to live missionally. Now, I’m stepping into that same mission, to walk with students, to share the Gospel, and to help others encounter the same life-changing love of Christ. I know the Lord will be faithful, and I can’t wait to see what He has in store.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I am not able to reach students without your prayers and generous support! If you would like to join my team, it would be a great honor to have you! “Some give to the missions by going, others go to the missions by giving.”
~Pope Saint John Paull II
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
