Hello, this is John Martin! I am in my first year with FOCUS as an intern, more specifically, Recruitment. I am involved with the BOSCO Project within Denver at the Auraria Campus, helping form men into missionaries for Christ. Within Recruitment I am overjoyed to have Christ as the central figure in my career!

Where I serve

I serve at the Denver Support Center (DSC), helping the amazing men and women around me successfully recruit new generations of missionaries to keep our apostolic mission nation-wide. These men and women are terrific at their jobs, and on fire for the Lord! Serving them has been one of the greatest honors I have experienced.

My Story

I am a Colorado Native, who comes from a big family of 11 (including parents). I have been Catholic all my life but truly had a conversion of heart at the University of Mary in Bismarck North Dakota. I studied Theology at both UMary and Benedictine college where I transferred. I am 22 and discerning marriage to my girlfriend of +2 years. In my summer internship with FOCUS, I fell in love with how centered Christ was through my days and decided to extend it!

Your Impact

My work here has impacted three key areas! Firstly, I am able to pick up extra tedious work for those men and women actively recruiting so that they may bare more fruit! Secondly, being involved with BOSCO has given me the opportunity to join a community of young Catholic men who always aim to better themselves and invite those who do not know God into our community. Lastly, here at the DSC I have been blessed with amazing co-workers and community. I am constantly impacted by others and their love for Christ, and hope that I do the same for some!
