Her time in FOCUS readied her for an artistic mission field…
Since leaving staff in 2015, Leanne Bowen has started her own small business selling original artwork. It’s a different mission field than she originally planned, she says, but she encourages others to “be who you are” and let the Lord work within that.
Leanne Bowen served with FOCUS from 2012 to 2015 at campuses in Colorado and California. She now lives mission through her artwork and hospitality at her family’s ranch.

Join Dr. Edward Sri and recent alumni pilgrims for a conversation about “Life on Pilgrimage.” Dr. Sri will speak about how we can all better live our pilgrim journey on this earth. Participants of the May 2023 Holy Land alumni pilgrimage will be present to help guide our conversation.

FOCUS’ Lifelong Mission team is hiring a marketing director!
The Lifelong Mission team (LMT) is comprised of the Alumni and Parish Outreach departments. This team works with FOCUS staff and student alumni, pastors, dioceses and parishioners to evangelize in the post–collegiate world.
As the marketing director, you will play a leadership role to develop the team’s brand identity, design appropriate communications plans and implement rollout strategies. Collaborative efforts may include FOCUS Parish brand development, event–based strategic communications to hyperlocal and national markets, and interdepartmental marketing initiatives.

Our team’s intention this month is for all potential mission partners. Missionaries are in the middle of summer fundraising, and we want to support them by praying for openness of heart for all those who hear the Gospel through an MPD appointment and for spiritual and financial generosity. Please pray with us!

AL+UM (Altum) comes from “Duc in Altum”, which means to“Set out into the deep.” This call, to set out into the deep, is the call of every person seeking after Christ. You are on a different mission now than when you were on campus, yet as you cast your nets, the Lord will certainly bless you with a great catch if you continue to trust in Him.
