Hey! My name’s Chris. This is my wife Hannah. We are FOCUS missionaries.

Where We serve

God has asked me to serve Him on the college campus. I’m currently serving as the Team Director at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. Go Vandals! You might recognize us from a historic appearance in March Madness this past spring (and a devastating defeat at the hands of Houston in the first round). I work primarily with fraternity men, helping them learn to pray, put Jesus at the very center of their lives, and transform the culture of their houses.

Our Story

I’m a born and raised Catholic from a small town in Missouri. For most of my childhood and upbringing, I was counting down the minutes until Mass ended. College was a trying time for my faith and morals. I joined a fraternity at the University of Missouri my freshman year and met serious sin, and rock bottom, face to face for the first time in my life. This led me to my first FOCUS Bible study and later into a friendship with a missionary who could truly relate to my story. After years of living half in and half out, I decided that God would only give me His whole self if I gave Him my whole self. Jesus’ love has brought me out of the depths of restlessness, insecurity, purposelessness, and sorrow. He’s changed everything. I joined FOCUS, and have stayed with FOCUS, because the work isn’t done. I know for a fact there are souls still out there that feel the way that I once felt. “It is unthinkable that someone should accept the word and truly given himself to the kingdom without becoming a person who bears witness to it and proclaims it in his turn.” – Pope Saint Paul VI

Your Impact

When I answered God’s call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to trust Him in all ways. I didn’t know all the details, but He did. As a FOCUS missionary, I rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help fulfill His Great Commission. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:18-20
