Christian music tends to get a bad wrap sometimes. Some say it all sounds the same, some claim it’s too corny, and others might even judge it before they even give it a chance!
We’re here to make the announcement 🔉Don’t sleep on Christian music! On top of covering a wide range of genres, the lyrics of any Christian song have a unique way of elevating the spirit.
That’s exactly why we’re highlighting a diverse lineup of tracks. Our aim? To spark a connection (especially for you Gen Z’ers!) with the dynamic and uplifting genre of Christian music.
1. UP! – Forrest Frank
You guys know we love Forrest Frank by now. UP! and GOOD DAY are classics, but we definitely recommend checking out his entire catalog. BTW – did you know he was nominated for a Grammy? Stuff has got to be good, right?
2. Can’t Tell It All (Remix) – Hulvey, Lecrae, KB
For any rap fans out there, these three are a few of the unofficial G.O.A.T.s of the Christian hip-hop scene.
3. The Prodigal – Josiah Queen
Josiah Queen may just be the Christian Noah Kahan?! Let us know if you agree.
4. FUNNY – One Common
This song is basically everything we were saying in the intro – different from the mainstream Christian sound, uplifting lyrics, and all around fresh and fun.
5. joy. – for King & Country
for King & Country is a true hit and never miss band. This song has their classic soulful sound, but brings in some upbeat and funky sounds to mix it up!
6. This Is The Gospel – Elevation Rhythm, Joe L Barnes
If you’re a gospel music fan, this is for you!
7. Praises (remix) – Elevation Rhythm, Forrest Frank
This one is from the same group as above, but a totally different sound, which is what makes this group so dynamic (and as a bonus, they’ve included Forrest Frank!). We’re getting hints of Paramore mixed with Anderson .Paak from this one. If you don’t think those two go together, think again!
8. SPIN BACK! – Scottie Wop
The top comment on this song is “This is Holy Spirit fire”, and to be honest, that says it all. If you like: hip-hop, rap, high-energy, and fun beats, this is for you.
9. real good – Taylor Charmayne
This one is a cool take on a break-up song: written about her heartbreak, Taylor Charmayne incorporates lyrics that highlight embracing your true worth, and by God’s grace, recognizes the love we all deserve. R&B fans, this is for you!
10. On My Own – Gio
Last but not least is Gio’s “On My Own.” This one definitely sounds like a TikTok sound or Instagram audio clip. Maybe we should start the trend?
