We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“for the sake of the joy that was set before Him, He endured the cross, disregarding it’s shame, and has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God” – Hebrews 12:2
I am so excited to serve my first year of mission at the University of Wisconsin-Madison! I will be working primarily with women involved in Greek life, helping them understand their home in the Church through Bible studies and the building of intentional relationships. I am so excited to arrive on campus and get to work!
As a born and raised Catholic, my faith has always been a “part” of my life. I often viewed faith as just another part of my weekly routine, rather than something with deeper meaning. When I reached high school, I began to ask deeper questions, wondering what I believed, rather than what I had been raised to believe my whole life. This led to me asking lots of questions, and seeking the Truth that my heart was longing for.
Flash forward to my time at Purdue University, I was able to see the beauty in living an abundant life of faith through those living in communion with me, which pushed me to strive for greatness, even in the areas where I stumbled and struggled to bring the faith to. One of the main places that I was impacted in was my sorority house, where I met so many life-long friends who were often asking the same questions that I found myself asking just a few short years earlier. Living in community with so many women taught me so much about the abundant life promised with Christ, and gave me so much drive for mission! I was gifted with the opportunity to walk with Greek students at Purdue my Junior and Senior years, and am ecstatic to continue showing Greek students that it is possible to live an abundant life in their houses, without sacrificing the moral life.
As a missionary from a non-FOCUS campus, I am excited to dive into missionary life, and walk with students full time, as well as live a life that can serve as an example for those I will encounter in Madison!
As I have learned through my time growing in faith, this journey is not one that I can go through alone. I will rely on your support to reach as many students as I can, allowing more souls to be brought to abundant life. I am eager to meet with anyone who feels drawn to the mission of FOCUS, and would love to have you on my support team! By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
