I am so blessed to serve at the University of Southern Mississippi as a FOCUS missionary. I am excited to be able to serve alongside my new teammates and walk with the students at Southern Miss. To the top!

I grew up a “cradle” Catholic in south Louisiana, where I went to mass every Sunday and was involved in the Catholic faith by doing youth ministry in middle school. I continued to be involved in the faith in high school by participating in LifeTeen, campus ministry at St. Thomas More Catholic High School, pro life club, leading small groups, etc. When I got to Louisiana State University, I was not involved in the Catholic center off the bat because of my commitments to school and club lacrosse. So, there were moments when I could not make mass nor confession because of lacrosse and school. I knew I need to make a change but was not sure what the Lord was calling me to do.

Heading into my sophomore year, I decided to quit lacrosse and to take the Catholic faith more seriously. I got involved in a bible study and was able to attend a retreat called Tiger Awakening where I was able to have my reversion. At this retreat, Jesus revealed Himself in a way that He has never showed me before and I was on fire to bring that to others. For that next year, I got more involved in my Newman center and was able to walk with a lot people through playing sports, having events at Christ the King (Church/student center at LSU), and outreach.

During the summer going into my senior year, I was a summer missionary for LifeTeen, and that was where the thought of being a full-time missionary became a real idea. Coming back from that, I began to lead a bible study with one of my good friends (whose also going to be a FOCUS missionary) and was able to get into discipleship with my roommate and long-time friend. FOCUS started to become more evident when I started to walk with our guy missionaries and see how they lived their life on a daily basis and I was hooked. With their help, I decided to be a FOCUS missionary and continue to bring Christ to others on a college campus in a unique way.

As a FOCUS missionary, I am called to rely on spiritual and financial support from mission partners to help me on this mission of bringing Christ to students on college campuses. I have been blessed with truly, wonderful people who have walked with me as I serve on campus.
