We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Now this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.”
– John 17:3
I am beginning my first year on mission serving at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. Go huskies! I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for me and my team in the U.P.!
My team (left to right): Zach, Me, Anna, Madison, Gabrielle, and Kam
I was blessed to grow up in a loving Catholic family and attended Catholic school for most of my life. However, my Faith was not always a priority in my life. Coming into my freshman year at LSU, I had many reasons to be happy, but I still felt lonely and isolated. I was desperately searching for authentic friendships and a home on campus. I found that home at Christ the King Parish and Student Center where I dove into my Catholic faith and a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Even though I was growing in my relationship with the Lord, my freshman year was also a time of immense grief. Seeking consolation in prayer, I was struck by Peter’s words to Jesus in John 6:68, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” I realized that nothing and no one else would bring me true fulfillment other than the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Now, I am deeply convicted to live out a life of mission and bring the peace of Christ to other students on campus!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know the best way to reach you, and I will schedule an appointment with you! I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
