We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I happily serve the students and student athletes at the University of Dallas!
When I started at Oklahoma Christian University, I committed to attending Mass every Sunday because that’s how I was raised. However, during my first three years of college, I lacked a Catholic community and a strong relationship with Jesus. In those years, I sought fulfillment in competing for the baseball team, playing golf on the weekends, and working hard in the classroom. But none of these ever truly satisfied me. So, during my senior year, I decided to get involved with the Newman Center at the University of Central Oklahoma—and that’s where FOCUS changed my life.
I first got involved with FOCUS when a missionary invited me to join a Bible study. Through this Bible study, I learned more about God and myself, and I realized my relationship with God could hardly be called a relationship. The FOCUS missionaries at UCO challenged me to deepen my faith by inviting me into discipleship. That’s when I learned my primary purpose on earth was not to play sports or have a high-paying job but to share Jesus Christ with the world. After much prayer, I felt God calling me to live out this calling by becoming a FOCUS missionary myself.
There will come a day when we all will pass away from this Earth and God will ask us “What did you do to fulfill the Great Commission?” and I want you to hand Him my business card.
You are not only financially supporting me to go out on mission to a college campus, but you are using your provisions to further the Gospel. “For where your treasure is, your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me live out this mission. If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of college students, please reach out to me and I’d be honored to share the ways you can support my work.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
