Where I serve

I’m so excited to be heading to the University of Denver to serve as a full-time missionary! I feel incredibly blessed to be heading back to the mountains and to get to meet our students this fall. Go Pios!

My Story

I was blessed to be raised in a large Catholic family and to attend Catholic schools my whole life. I’ve also had an incredible witness in what a life of mission looks like in my mother, who has been working in youth ministry my whole life. A part of my heart always yearned to live this type of life, but my head was convinced it couldn’t be a reality.

In college I encountered so much beauty and joy, but also great sorrow and suffering. I was so incredibly blessed my junior year when FOCUS was placed on my campus and I was encountered by one of our missionaries. She spent so much time intentionally leaning into my life and a friendship with me; walking with me through the crosses in my life and helping me to reach out to the Lord and look for all the ways He was moving in the chaos. The impact this love had on my life is what drew me back to FOCUS a few years later.

I graduated college and entered the workforce after a senior year that had drastically affected me and the plans I had for my life. I bounced around a few different career options but wasn’t satisfied in any of them. Throughout this time I was volunteering with my parish youth groups and was given the opportunity to attend SEEK this year with them as a chaperone. While at SEEK, the Lord worked quietly but powerfully in my heart through the talks I was hearing and the conversations I was having and made it abundantly clear that what both He and my heart desired was a life of mission, specifically within FOCUS. I’m so excited to get to live this desire and love others the way I was!
