We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Beloved son of God. Husband. Father of three wonderful girls and one adorable boy. 12th year on mission with FOCUS. University of Pittsburgh Engineering Grad.
I have served with FOCUS for 12 years now. In my first two years, I served as a missionary to the students at the University of Connecticut. Then for the next two years, I was the Team Director at Temple University in Philadelphia. Afterward, I served the East Area of FOCUS as a Regional Director for the past four years. Now I am a Senior Regional Director for the South Area. Essentially, I provide support, vision, encouragement, and coaching to the missionaries on campus.
I oversee seven campuses with 32 missionaries serving: Belmont Abbey College (NC), East Carolina University, Clemson University, the University of South Carolina, Coastal Carolina University, the University of Tennessee, and the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.
As a freshman in college, a missionary and some students from the Catholic Church reached out to me in via simple but awesome ways. They would eat meals with me, play sports and invite me, and bring me into their lives as I entered there. Thanks to these friendships, I had the courage to go to confession. And it was in this moment, I had a profound experience of the mercy of God. It had been perhaps my first sincere confession of my life. And it changed everything.
As I went through college, I was taught how to pray, how to talk about Jesus and the Church, lead a bible study, and teach others to do those things too. By the middle of my sophomore year, I was leading 8 freshman men in a bible study. From that bible study, 3 of those men have gone on to the seminary and 2 of them are married with children.
At the core of all that we do are friendships. Time and again, I have seen God do amazing things in college students lives simply because someone introduced a student to God via authentic friendship. The best part of this is that they don’t stay in college! They graduate, go off to work places and parishes and continue to live out a Catholic life complete with evangelization!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
