A former missionary, now mom, encourages others
Rachel Miller’s role as a stay–at–home mom does not leave her with the radical availability she had on campus. By asking two simple questions in this video, she encourages alumni to consider deeply what they do have to give.
Rachel Miller served with FOCUS from 2013 to 2022 in a variety of roles. She now lives mission through arranging park dates, engaging in parish life and leading a small group with former campus friends.

Join the summer WRAP challenge!
We all know the mission–critical importance of prayer. Sometimes, though, our prayer lives get away from us, especially in the busyness of summer. Need an interior restart or even just a good refresh? Join other FOCUS alumni in the summer WRAP challenge, a scripture study using Lectio Divina. Spend five minutes per day soaking in God’s word, delivered straight to your inbox once a day for the next 30 days.
FOCUS’ Lifelong Mission team is hiring a marketing director!
The Lifelong Mission team (LMT) is comprised of the Alumni and Parish Outreach departments. This teamworks with FOCUS staff and student alumni, pastors, dioceses and parishioners to evangelize in the post–collegiate world.
As the marketing director, you will play a leadership role to develop the team’s brand identity, design appropriate communications plans and implement rollout strategies. Collaborative efforts may include FOCUS Parish brand development, event–based strategic communications to hyperlocal and national markets, and interdepartmental marketing initiatives.

New Staff Training wraps up this week for first– and second–year campus missionaries. Will you join us in praying for our new and returning campus missionaries? They are about to engage in a summer of support-raising, planning and praying for the upcoming academic year.

What does AL+UM mean?
AL+UM (Altum) comes from “Duc in Altum”, which means to“Set out into the deep.” This call, to set out into the deep, is the call of every person seeking after Christ. You are on a different mission now than when you were on campus, yet as you cast your nets, the Lord will certainly bless you with a great catch if you continue to trust in Him.
