Leaning on Mary
Transitioning beyond FOCUS can come with many joys and many sufferings. In this video, FOCUS alumna Reese Dobrynski shares how leaning on Mary has been essential as she navigates raising her six boys and living lifelong Catholic mission in her family and parish. Reese shares practical tips for instilling Marian devotion in your children and encouragement for alumni who are going through a difficult season.
Reese Dobrynski graduated from Benedictine College and was a missionary with FOCUS from 2010 to 2013 at Texas State University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri with her husband, Joe, homeschooling their six boys. Reese and Joe are intentional about raising disciples in their family and parish.

Join Fr. Jay Buhman for a Lenten Retreat
Feeling dry, bored or stuck in your walk as a disciple? Sometimes we all need a reminder of our first love. We need to be renewed in what it means to be a disciple of God who became man and suffered and died so that we might have eternal life with Him.
It’s not too late to join former FOCUS National Chaplain Fr. Jay Buhman as he leads us through three short Lenten meditations.
Ready to be reinvigorated in prayer and discipleship this Lent?

What does AL+UM mean?
AL+UM (Altum) comes from “Duc in Altum”, which means to“Set out into the deep.” This call, to set out into the deep, is the call of every person seeking after Christ. You are on a different mission now than when you were on campus, yet as you cast your nets, the Lord will certainly bless you with a great catch if you continue to trust in Him.
