We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

Throughout my years in college, the Lord gently rewrote my heart and brought me into a deeper relationship with Him. I had the blessing of growing up Catholic, but prior to my years in college I failed to get any closer to the Lord than the surface. Coming into college, I knew I wanted to meet other people with similar beliefs, and so I sought out community at the Catholic center at Clemson University. I was hoping to make life-long friends there, which I certainly had the blessing of doing, but I never expected how much more was waiting for me there. I joined a Bible study and as I began to get more involved in the community, I was impressed by the joyful and peaceful lives the students and FOCUS missionaries there led.
These beautiful friends invited me to join them at daily mass and Tuesday night dinner, our Catholic center’s weekly get together where the parishioners kindly cooked a meal for us and we got to grow in community, and to learn more about my faith and to start diving into my relationship with God. After my Bible study leader invited me into discipleship with her and a few of my other friends, I stared to take a closer look at my life and where I was placing my identity. Was I truly living my life for God or was I placing my worth in other things?
This question helped me to reshape my life and to navigate the struggles of college with wonderful, supportive friends who truly shine the light of God. I realized that my faith was something I needed to actually take seriously and that it was something to live out every day and not just on the weekends at Sunday mass. Knowing truths about Catholicism is wonderful, but we are made for a real relationship with God. This truly restructured my entire identity and helped me to grow in living a free life. I started leading a Bible study the fall of my junior year, and getting to grow in friendship and faith with my girls made such a tremendous difference in my life. Hearing them talk about what Bible study meant to them was something that really shook me to my core: I could actually make a real difference in these girls’ lives by leading to them, being their friend, and witnessing to them what a free life looked like. Following that, I knew this was something I wanted to continue, so when God gave me the call to be a FOCUS missionary, I happily accepted. I am so excited to see where He continues to lead me!
When I accepted the call to be a FOCUS missionary, I entered into a life of deeper trust in God and full reliance on Him, both spiritually and financially. In order to reach souls and serve the students on my campus, I rely on the generous support of people like you. I’m so excited to be able to work with you to reach students who may not know Jesus Christ and to see how the Lord works on and off campus! If you are interested in joining me on mission, please reach out and I would love to meet with you!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
