We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire” (St. Catherine of Siena).
I am a first-year missionary serving at Harvard University!
My senior year of high school, Jesus touched my heart in a profound way that drew me to learn more about Him and His Church. Through that encounter, I realized that God was calling me to a deeper relationship with Him. When I entered Middlebury College, I experienced a lot of loneliness in my spiritual journey. My sophomore year, a couple of Newman Catholic Club members pursued me and introduced me to a community that sought to teach, encourage, and strengthen me in my faith. Through my participation in the club, I discovered that our faith is relational and that it cannot be done alone. We need people who will challenge us to grow in virtue and who will motivate us to aspire to sainthood.
Thanks to those students who pursued me and God’s grace, I began to grow in many areas of my faith. That same year, I declared my major in religious studies and learned about various worldviews and perceptions of God. Throughout my years at Middlebury, I witnessed a deep yearning for God in so many individuals as well as a growing curiosity about the meaning of life. The more I engaged in conversations with my peers, the greater I was convinced that God wanted me to introduce people to Him and to guide them in the faith with love and patience. I decided to become a FOCUS missionary because it provides me with the great blessing to get to know individuals, form them in their faith, and invite them into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 4:10 says, “Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.” As a FOCUS missionary, I have the wonderful opportunity to invite others to take part in my mission. Through your financial support and prayers, college students will come to know that they are seen, loved, and cared for by God. In becoming my mission partner, you will help to bring this vision to life, and for that, I am immensely grateful.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
