Where I serve

I will be serving at San Francisco State University this coming Fall! Having been born and raised in California, I had a strong desire to stay in my home state and serve people there. I’m so excited to head to San Francisco and see what Christ has prepared for myself and the students I will encounter!

My Story

Christ has guided me with His gracious and loving hand throughout my life! As a child, my parents lovingly dedicated themselves to teaching me the truths of the Catholic faith. Through their instruction, I learned of God’s goodness and His desire for the salvation of all souls. I was instilled with a desire and longing for others in my life to someday gain Heaven, and I desired to be a witness to my faith.

Coming into college and encountering other faithful Catholics at my Newman Center, I realized that my good intention of leading others to the faith had been tainted by my own pride. I had been determined to live a seemingly perfect life so that others might follow, yet I had forgotten that the purpose of my own life was to glorify and serve Jesus Christ with a pure intention of heart! By the selfless witness of the missionaries at my Newman center and the community there, I was able to learn from their authenticity in striving to know the person of Christ. I was drawn towards a purification of my own heart and a desire to live out my faith, still as a witness, but one that would point towards Christ’s person rather than my own.

Deeply rooted in my soul is still a desire to bring others to Heaven and I hope to do so by living out a Christlike life, while walking with students at San Francisco State. My prayer is that they come to know the person of Jesus and that we will together be more radically transformed into His glory!
