We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Hello! I am serving my first year on mission at Harvard in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
I first made a conscious choice to live out my Catholic faith in college at the University of Wisconsin Madison. For years, I placed my identity in achievements, boys, academics, and appearance. A FOCUS missionary on my campus invited me into a small group with other women searching for solace and truth in a very secular campus, and there I made some of my best friends and slowly built up a prayer life and actual knowledge about the beliefs I’ve carried my whole life!
FOCUS missionaries are set on bringing the truest and greatest love of Jesus Christ into intentional and consistent friendships with those on campus. With a recent masters degree in Secondary Spanish Education, I could have gone right into my teaching career. However, I chose to be a FOCUS missionary because I truly believe that this mission will not only push me to be holier, but it will bring so many of my sisters-in-Christ to Christ’s joyous and loving heart. What a gift it is to share the best news ever (aka salvation!) with women who are just about to go to the workforce and share their own stories!
FOCUS missionaries do not charge students for anything because sharing the gospel is a free act of love. While things like bible studies could have a fee, we instead rely on mission partners to support our mission and living expenses. As a donor, you play a crucial role in reaching the souls on campus, not only through financial support to keep me on campus, but especially through your prayers for all the lovely women I serve– which in turn, you help serve too 🙂 What a gift it is to share in mission with you all!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
