I am so excited to be serving at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan this year!

In the midst of challenges and heartbreaks, the Lord has drawn me to Him and healed all my wounds, allowing me to live a life filled with more joy, peace, and love than I could ever attain without Him.

I was blessed with the privilege of being raised in a practicing Catholic family and attending Catholic elementary and high school, which gave me a solid foundation of faith. However, I struggled in my teen years with a deep desire to control my life and an intense fear of failure that kept me distracted from pursuing a deep relationship with Him. 

By God’s grace, I was invited into a FOCUS Bible study my first week in college. This taught me how to begin putting the Lord at the center of my life. Despite this, being deadset on pursuing graduate school for social psychology immediately after graduation created a tendency to measure my own self worth based on my productivity and achievements. Too often, I saw myself through the lens of my curriculum vitae. Thankfully, my bible study leader continued to challenge me to dedicate more time to prayer and the sacraments. These encounters with Christ slowly began to teach me a different view of myself. 

Though I had initially searched for meaning and validation through my acadmic performance and attention from others, the Lord revealed my true identity as His beloved daughter. He offered transformative healing after every wound I incurred, and I began to truly trust in his provision. The words “I believe you are writing me a beautiful story,” became my constant prayer as my life took unexpected turns that invariably turned out better than I could have ever hoped for. 

As I grew closer to God, I began to long to dedicate my life totally to Him. Finally, he gave me the grace to surrender the future that I had gripped so tightly for so long. I said yes to mission with FOCUS! It was in this surrender that I experienced joy and hope like never before. While I still have a deep love for social psychology, I am so excited to use the principles of human connection to cultivate meaningful and authentic relationships with students as a missionary in order to help them experience the true freedom, peace, and joy in Jesus Christ that I have discovered.

College students today are on a desperate search for meaning, happiness, and freedom in life. I am dedicated to helping them find it, as I did, in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. But I can’t do it alone. As a full-time missionary, I rely on the financial and spiritual support of my incredible mission partners.
