We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
My name is Andrew. I grew up in a Catholic family going to mass every Sunday and even attending a Catholic school my entire life, but for the most part Jesus never felt very real to me: not until my junior year of high-school. That year I went on a “Kairos” retreat, and on this retreat I heard a talk that changed my perspective on who Christ is. I learned that no matter how many times I had rejected Christ, he still desired my love and friendship. For the first time in my life, I felt like I desired His as well.
When I got to college, a FOCUS missionary on campus reached out to me and invited me to join a bible study. In this bible study, I learned about God’s plan for salvation for His people and that I have a deep love for theology. I started a group focused on teaching other students to defend the Catholic faith. That same year, I was able to go to a FOCUS recruitment event and felt a deep calling from God to become a full-time missionary. This call was so strong that 2 years later when it came time to apply and interview, I jumped at the opportunity. After it was all said and done, I have accepted an offer and am so excited to save souls for God!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
