“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.”

John 12:24

My Story

I was so blessed to be raised in a devoutly Catholic family. As the youngest of seven children, I thrived off of the affirmation and attention I received from my older siblings. As I navigated my teen years, I found myself chasing that same attention from my peers and soon began to focus my energy toward seeking attention and gaining popularity. Through the idolization of this popularity, I began to lose sight of the relationship with Christ I had been taught to foster from a young age. Over time, I began to believe that the faith I was raised in was restrictive and full of useless rules. As I ended my senior year of high school, I felt that I was at a crossroads regarding whether I would pursue my faith in college.

In God’s providence, he placed me in an environment where I would be led to not only continue practicing my faith, but to pursue a relationship with Him in a way that was radically different than anything I had ever experienced. At the University of Illinois’ Newman Center, I met FOCUS missionaries and students that lived their faith in a way I was unfamiliar with. In the places I had found to be restrictive, they encountered great freedom. In the things I thought were boring, they saw immense beauty. I began being led by these missionaries and found the way I approached my faith to be completely transformed. After years of hearing about God and the beauty of relationship with Him, I finally encountered Him myself. Through intimate prayer and a deeper appreciation for the sacraments, I began to comprehend the fullness that could be found in a life with Him.

As I grew in my relationship with Christ, I decided to start a Bible study in my sorority and saw immense fruit. Over the past three years of walking with these women, I became passionate about sharing Christ with college students, particularly women in Greek life. It was through this experience that the Lord showed me His desire for me to continue leading college women as a FOCUS missionary.

It is with great joy and excitement that I head into my first year on mission! My life has been transformed, and now I am eager to share this joy with others and help them encounter Christ!

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. My mission partners are the reason I am able to pursue my students freely. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you, and I will schedule an appointment. I would be truly honored to share this mission with you!
