We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
John 6:68
Growing up Catholic, I always knew my faith would be part of my life. It was not until going to college at the University of Mary that I realized just how big a role God wanted to play. Throughout college, the Lord drew me closer to Himself through my classes, friends, and Bible study experiences. I learned what it means to truly be Catholic and see the world through a Catholic lens. Growing in my relationship with God in all these ways convicted me of the love God has for every single person and His desire for everyone to be in relationship with Him!
From my relationship with God comes my desire to spread His love to others. His love is so good, how could it not be shared! Being involved with FOCUS as a student led me to a new understanding of who God is as a loving father, especially through my experiences on the Father’s House retreat. Leading and growing with other women through Bible studies and discipleship have shown me the joy and blessing of growing in one’s faith with a community. I knew after graduation that God was calling me to give back to the group which has given me so much and serve as a FOCUS missionary!
We are all called to be missionaries and spread God’s love to others. God calls each of us to do this in a particular way and to particular people. God has called me to the mission of walking with college students. College is such a formative time in life, as it is the time when students choose for themselves if they will practice their faith or not. The college campus is a crucial mission field, as college students are the ones who will go on to work in and form the wider world and culture.
I invite you to join me on this mission. Your support enables me to walk with students during this time of college and help them grow closer to the Lord! Your support helps not only the students I encounter on campus, but also you and your family. When we commit our time, talents, and treasures to the Lord, He blesses them abundantly!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
