I currently serve at Kansas State University as a December grad hire while completing my bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies. This campus has been my home for the past three years and now serves as my mission field. I’m incredibly grateful that the Lord has given me the opportunity to share the Gospel and walk alongside women in a place where He has intentionally shaped and grown my faith. As I prepare to graduate in December 2025, I’m trusting God to lead me to a new campus where I can continue investing in the lives of college women, helping them know Jesus and follow Him as lifelong disciples.

Jesus has always been part of my life. I grew up knowing He was good and that He called us to live in that goodness, but for most of my life I didn’t believe that I was good. I carried this deep, quiet belief that love had to be earned, and that if I just did enough, achieved enough, impressed enough, or was enough then maybe I’d be worthy.

So I started running. By the time I got to college, I was chasing after anything that might prove I was valuable: grades, relationships, my sorority. I threw myself into all of it, hoping it would finally make me feel like I was enough. But no matter what I achieved, it was never enough. I still felt like I was falling short. But, the Lord never stopped pursuing me. Even in moments I couldn’t recognize it, He was there gently inviting me back. But I was scared to really let Him in.

Everything shifted going into my sophomore year of college. I had an encounter with Jesus that I can only describe as real, raw, and deeply personal. In prayer, I felt Him say: “You don’t have to keep running. I’m what you’re looking for.” And for the first time, I believed it. That moment didn’t fix everything overnight, but it changed the direction of my life. I began to truly pursue a relationship with the Lord. He started to peel back the lies I had believed for so long, and show me the truth: I am His. I am loved. I am enough not because of what I do, but because of who He is.

It was during my own time in college, when I felt so lost and unsure of who I was, that I encountered Jesus in a real and life-changing way. FOCUS missionaries were part of that journey for me, simply by being present, listening, and pointing me toward something deeper. Now, I get to do the same not through big gestures, but through everyday moments and relationships. It’s such a gift to be part of what God is doing in the lives of students, just like He once did in mine.

When I answered God’s call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners. I’m so grateful for those who walk alongside me.
