“Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.”

– St. Catherine of Siena

My Story

My relationship with God began in Boerne, TX where I was raised with the Catholic faith woven into the formation of my time growing up. When I arrived at Texas A&M University, I was greeted with many exciting opportunities through my involvement in my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, various campus activities, new friendships, and my education. I quickly found myself consumed in these activities and losing sight of my true identity in Christ. As I attempted to fill the void in my heart with fleeting things of this Earth, the Lord  used the foundation from my upbringing to draw me back to Him. He lead me to the community at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station where I got involved with FOCUS and found what I had been desperately looking for, a deep authentic relationship with God.

Over the last four years I have come to know Jesus in an intimate way as He has revealed Himself to me through daily prayer, frequenting the sacraments, the guidance of mentors and close friends, and my time leading others in their relationship with Him. A main takeaway from this time was that I did not need to change who I was to be Catholic and love God; I simply needed to align the talents and gifts He gave me with His will for my life. Through these experiences, I discovered a deep passion for investing in others and sharing God with them in a tangible and personal way, just as others had done for me. Someone once asked me, “If you could do anything you wanted with your life, what would it be?” My response was simple: “I would be a missionary.” Now, I have the opportunity to live that out in a unique and full-time way. Before ascending into Heaven, Jesus tells His disciples, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). While this call looks different in every person’s life, I am excited for the opportunity to respond to it by serving others and giving myself fully to the Lord as a FOCUS missionary!

Your Impact

When I said “yes” to the call to join FOCUS, I also said “yes” to rely financially and spiritually on mission partners for support. Matthew 9:37-38 reminds us “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”, but what a gift it is to be a laborer! We are all called by God to be on mission in different ways, and I am deeply convicted in the truth that “some give by going; others go by giving.” It is a great joy to be able to invite you to join me on my mission and allow the Lord to work through us to reach college students! If you are interested in joining my mission support team, I’d be honored to set up an appointment and talk to you more about it!
