My Story

I grew up Catholic but never understood what it meant to be in a relationship with Jesus. As I entered college at the University of Louisiana, I encountered true authentic friendships. This inspired me to dive deeper into my faith, the Sacraments, and into greater healing and joy.

Throughout this transformation of my heart, I desired to pursue a deeper intellectual life of God and His Church. I transferred to an online bachelor’s program through Franciscan University in Steubenville which enabled me to continue to be involved at the Catholic student center on Louisiana’s campus.

As God continued to use both of these universities to teach me His Ways and show me His Heart, after graduation I felt that He was calling me to continue to share Jesus with others specifically on college campuses. His pursuit of my heart and life is what led me to join FOCUS where I will be serving Him and others as a missionary!

Your Impact

Though not everyone is called to leave their homes to serve people in foreign lands, or in my case, Gainesville, FL, we are all called to be on mission in some way! When I answered the call to serve with FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me on this mission.

It is through the generosity of our faithful mission partners that we can walk with students at a critical time in their lives to understand, in a deeper way, who they are and the purpose of their lives.
