Hi there! I am Brooke Vandehey and I’m a FOCUS Missionary!

Where I serve

After attending Carroll College, in Montana as a student, the Lord has asked me to return as a missionary! This community has become such a home to me, and I’m so grateful for the ways the Lord has formed and supported me here. I’m excited to keep investing in these students, building relationships, and witnessing all that He continues to do on this campus.

Here’s to another year of mission, growth, and trusting in all the Lord has in store!

My Story

I grew up in a small town in Oregon with a wonderful family. Faith was always around, but it wasn’t something I had made central to my own life. Like many people, I found my identity in the things I did—in school, sports, friendships—or in who I could be for others. That constant striving left me feeling anxious, uncertain, and honestly, a little lost.

Everything changed when I transferred to Carroll College going into my sophomore year. It was there that I met students involved with FOCUS. Something about them was different. The way they lived with joy, freedom, and deep love sparked something in me. I wanted that.

Through their witness and friendship, I began learning how to pray, how to build a relationship with Jesus, and most importantly, how to root my identity in being a daughter of God. It was at a retreat that I first felt the love of the Lord in a real way—quiet and powerful. I still remember sitting by the lake, looking out across the water, and imagining Him sitting there too, in a green Adirondack chair, just waiting for me to trust in and receive His love.

Now that I’ve encountered the love of Christ, I want nothing more than to share it. I want to reach others who, like me, might be living with uncertainty, anxiety, or feeling like they don’t know who they really are. I want to point them toward the light of Christ—the one who brings purpose, joy, and a love that never fades—so He can wrap them up in His love, and they can come to know their true worth and identity as beloved sons and daughters of God.

The 2026 Carroll Crew: These are the missionaries and students who either served at or graduated from Carroll and attended training this year. Carroll may be small in size, but its impact is anything but small. Thank you for helping make this incredible influence possible!
