My Story

When I entered college as a premed biology student, I thought I had my entire life figured out. God had other plans. Early on, I found myself overwhelmed and feeling desolate, spending most of my time isolated in study rooms. At the same time, I got involved with FOCUS and eventually began leading a Bible study, where I found deep joy in walking with others on their faith journeys. I realized that the moments when I felt most alive were spent in prayer and serving at our Catholic center. Gradually, I began to imagine a future rooted in ministry rather than medicine.

My sophomore year, a conversation with my FOCUS missionary helped me realize that ministry could be a real vocation. Shortly after, I took a leap of faith, changed my major, and began seriously pursuing that call. Despite the challenges of college life, FOCUS remained a steady source of purpose, formation, and encouragement. By senior year, I felt Christ inviting me to pursue full-time ministry through FOCUS. Now, I desire to accompany women in their relationship with the Lord, helping them encounter His love and equipping them to do the same for others.

Through your monthly financial support, students are able to encounter Christ in Bible Studies, on mission trips, and at retreats.
