We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“The good Lord does not do things by halves; He always gives what we need. Let us then carry on bravely.” -St. Zelie Martin
I serve at Kennesaw State University alongside a wonderful team (one of which is my husband!). At KSU, I work alongside students at the Catholic Center, leading women in Bible studies and discipling them so that they can then go on to lead others.
Although I did not have FOCUS on my campus, I was blessed to be able to be involved with the nearby Catholic Center at KSU. After being led through Bible study and discipleship, I was able to start a Bible study in my hometown of Rome, GA, which has two smaller colleges. The girls I walked with always expressed desires for more Catholic college community and support, which is common among so many college students. I believe community is incredibly important for the Christian faith, especially for young adults who are far from home and adjusting to a new environment. I was blessed to go to school in my hometown and keep friends and family around me who were already walking with me, without whom I would not have been able to be as active or grow as much in my relationship with Christ. I want to give the same sense of genuine friendship and support to students who may not have it at their school. Witnessing how FOCUS provides this for students has been truly inspiring, and I’m honored to be a part of this mission of walking in Christ alongside so many people. It is so important that we support and equip young adults who are about to go out into the world, as they are all the future of the Church and the hands and feet of Jesus on earth.
When choosing to join FOCUS, we had to make the decision to fundraise our own salary. This is where mission partners come in! We get to meet and connect with people like you, and those who are passionate about this ministry participate in it by their generosity. In imitation of the apostles and disciples of the early Church, we live on the donations of others while we spread the Gospel. This is truly a partnership between those providing the support and we who use it to sustain ourselves and our families so that we can devote ourselves entirely to the souls we have been entrusted with. By giving, you play an enormous role in this mission and work alongside us to bring more souls to Christ. If you discern that God is asking you to serve Him in this way, I would so appreciate your support!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
