We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
This year, the Lord has invited me to serve as a first-year missionary on campus at Duke Univeristy in Durham, NC! My role as a full-time campus missionary includes leading Bible studies, small-group discipleship, campus outreach, retreats, mission trips, and other campus ministry events! I am eager to be serving alongside my team, praying for and minstering to a thirsting population of college students! Our hope is to foster real encounter between our students and the person of Christ, helping them to live life to the full!
The Lord has shown me His kindness from the very beginning of my life! I was born into a wonderful and faithful family, the oldest daughter of four. My parents stewarded our faith well, teaching us the fundamentals of prayer, our identity in Christ, and our need of Him as our savior. It wasn’t until college, however, that my relationship with the person of Jesus became embedded into every part of my life.
I was brought into Bible study in my spring semester freshman year, and was brought into a community of women like myself who were pursuing divine intimacy with our Lord! From there I went to FOCUS’ Summer Projects in Big Sky, Montana, where another radically faithful community of young Catholics showed me how to live a life that was centered on prayer, authentic fellowship, church teaching, and the sacraments. Those ten weeks changed my life like never before, and I could hear the Lord’s invitation so clearly. He desires for me not only to love Him with faithful habits and growing in virtue, but to teach others to do the same! That next year, I was equipped through FOCUS discipleship to lead a Bible study of my own, and ask some of my girls into discipleship where I could share with them the great work in my life that the Lord had done.
Over the next two and a half years, the Lord granted me the graces of zeal and faithfulness, providing me with all that I needed to be sent out to minister on campus while a still student at A&M! Leaning into my true identity as a beloved daughter and a little vessel of Christ, I saw hearts converted by His grace before my eyes! Students were falling in love with the Lord and His Church, and I got a front row seat! There was no greater reward than this.
So, when it came to discerning FOCUS my senior year, I knew the Lord had prepared the way before me. All that was left was to take it one step at a time. I hoped to offer my gratitude to Jesus in my “yes” to FOCUS, devoting myself full-time to knowing Christ Jesus and fulfilling His Great Commission!
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20
As missionaries, we are invited to rely fully on the Lord and His Body in the church for our support: humanly, spiritually, and financially. Through the generous gifts of my mission partners, I am enabled to be a full-time laborer in the the fields of the Lord and serve college students on Duke’s campus. If you are interested in joining my mission team, or want to hear more about the heart of this mission, please reach out! I would love to know and be known by you!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
