We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
The Lord has called me to serve at Indiana University in Bloomington! I will be spending my time leading bible studies, discipleship, and growing in friendship with the women on campus. Having the opportunity to encounter college women in the same way the Lord encountered me during my time in college is a gift!
My family raised me Catholic and I came to know a loving community at my parish. It was not until my senior year of high school that I felt called to know Jesus more intimately by becoming a Eucharistic minister for all school masses. As an EMHC, I was required to attend daily mass once a week. At daily mass, I began to pray and engage with the readings in a way that I had not before. I cared more and noticed more about how the word of God could relate to my life. I shared my joys and my struggles with Him in prayer. When I came to college, I joined a Bible study and began to read the Bible which I had not done extensively outside of religion class. In Bible study I learned how to discuss scripture passages, see what stood out to me, what it meant, and how to relate it to my own life. It was not until Fall of my sophomore year that I began to pray consistently and lead other women in bible study to come to know Christ the way I had. Through the women that I led in Bible study, God taught me more about Himself and the beauty of being a beloved daughter of God. It was my greatest joy in my college experience to walk with women who had been hurt by societal ideals of body image, what love is, and how they should be treated. It was a gift to see the girls I got to know in Bible study and discipleship soften their hearts and allow the Lord to work through them to bring about goodness. To see the redemption of the Father’s love in these women’s eyes and hearts meant the world to me. Witnessing the girls change their schedules to add daily prayer and talk about their Catholic faith with their peers and friends was truly a gift. I love to share God’s merciful love so that others may come to know Christ and strive to live like Him.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, you can contact me at [email protected] as I would be honored to share more with you about this mission!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
