Where I serve

The Lord has called me to serve as a first-year missionary at Mississippi State University! Hail Mary and Hail State!IMG 1299 3

My Story

Arriving as a freshman in At the University of South Carolina, the most important thing for me was to fit in. I put my faith on the back burner and the only thing I knew was that I would go to Sunday mass. Soon after arriving, I went to a campus ministry event and randomly filled out a bible study interest form. To my surprise, a student called me and invited me to her bible study! I started attending bible study regularly, mainly in the hopes of finding a community, and I took off from there. Through this bible study, I was able to study Scripture in a way I had never been exposed to before and I was able to become friends with amazing women who were all desiring to deepen their faith. My bible study leader eventually invited me to walk deeper with the Lord and to lead my own bible study. However, I felt like I was living a double life – one life in order to fit in with the other college students and another at the Newman Center.

In the fall semester of my sophomore year, this feeling came to a head where I was confronted with the decision to trust the Lord completely and to actually live my life authentically. I chose to turn over control to God and began to live a life striving for a more intimate relationship with Him. I began to make Jesus the center of my life as I attended daily mass, prayed frequently, and invested more into bible study, instead of living a life for other people. At the beginning of my junior year, I was blessed with a beautiful group of women to lead in bible study, which became one of my greatest joys in college. Through the rest of my time at USC, the Lord has gently called me closer to Himself and to help lead others to do the same.

Then during my senior year, the Lord put the desire on my heart to apply to become a FOCUS missionary, despite my fears and hesitations. I was planning to go the Physician Associate school after I graduated, but God had a different idea for me. He continued to call me closer to His heart until my fears became nothing in the face of His plan for me. I was eventually convicted that God was inviting me to conform my will to His will by choosing to answer the call to evangelize as a FOCUS missionary.

As a missionary, I am so excited to accompany the students at Mississippi State University into deeper relationship with God who sees them, knows them, and loves them. I hope to be a vessel for the love and mercy of Jesus for everyone I encounter!

Your Impact

When I answered the call to become a FOCUS missionary, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. This mission would not be possible without their generosity. They are the reason I am able to reach students and spread the Good News on campus. I am incredibly thankful for each one. If you are interested in hearing my story and joining my mission, let me know the best way to reach you and I can set up an appointment. I would be honored to share in this mission with you. I can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at (484) 649-4641.
