My Story

I grew up in a large and loving catholic family where I was always surrounded by people who had a deep love for God. I had always believed in God, participated in the sacraments, and surrounded myself with catholic friends, yet I always felt that something was missing in my life.

When I started my freshman year at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I intended to keep up with my faith, but God was never at the center of my life. I joined a sorority and dove deep into my academics, placing my identity in many areas apart from Him. At the end of my first semester, a friend invited me to a SEEK conference, and I reluctantly agreed. It was in Eucharistic adoration where I heard God ask me so gently to let Him into my heart. Jesus wanted to transform my heart and heal all of the brokenness that I had sheilded from Him for so long. I realized that what I was missing my whole life was an intimate relationship with the One who created me and loves me so dearly.

Through the grace of God, I slowly began to place Jesus Christ at the center of my life. I encountered His loving mercy day after day. The Lord was so patient with me and loved me through every moment that I pushed Him away. Because of my simple “yes” to Him, Jesus has slowly healed and softened my heart and has given me the capacity to love my brothers and sisters in Christ more deeply and freely. My life has completely changed, and I fall more deeply in love with my Creator each day!

Praise God that He has called me to serve students in helping them grow in relationship with their Heavenly Father, and to open their own hearts to the immense love He has for them. I am so blessed to be able to share my own experience with students and everyone God places in my life!
