Where I serve

I am serving in downtown Denver, Colorado, at the Auraria Campus! The Auraria Campus hosts the University of Colorado Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver!

My Story

Growing up in a Catholic family in the Bible belt of Mississippi, the faith was always at the forefront of my mind. Attending the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, I encountered FOCUS and began to attend Bible studies and daily Mass on a regular basis. Through the frequent reception of the Sacraments, the Lord drew me closer and closer to him, day by day.

I never planned on becoming a missionary, instead I had my heart set on a career in the world of Forensic Science. In March of 2025, I went to Honduras on a mission trip with FOCUS and God graced me to open my eyes to the truth that I did not trust Him to provide for my material needs; I wanted to take care of myself, all alone. After the Lord put this raw truth in my heart, I was immediately reminded of the words from Matthew 6:26, “Behold the birds of the air, for they neither sow, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns: and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are you not of much more value than they?”

I was further confronted with the importance of sharing the Gospel by my recent surgery to remove thyroid cancer. Pondering the event in prayer, I realized that the cancer firstly could never have been found, or the surgery could have gone poorly. Instead our heavenly Father graced me to be able to make it through and extend my pilgrimage on earth for the time being. The Lord desires for me to be living for Him, and to share his Word. In the words of my confirmation saint, St. Francis of Paola, “Death is certain, and life is short and vanishes like smoke. Therefore you must fix your minds on the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
