Growing up in a Catholic home and attending Catholic schools, I was blessed to know Jesus. However, I felt as if I never had a relationship with Him. Truthfully, I was scared to enter into one because I knew that once it started I could never turn back. But despite my fear, the Lord entered my heart boldly.

I attended a parish retreat my freshman year of high school and encountered the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament through Adoration. I can still picture the first time I beheld His beauty and felt His undeniable love. Since then I have held His hand while He leads me. Although I encountered a multitude of difficulties since encountering Him, I have been able to keep my eyes fixed on Him and return to Him with my whole heart.

My joy for mission began with being a Totus Tuus missionary for the Diocese of Peoria for four summers during college. It was in mission that I felt myself come truly alive. When I returned from my mission my first summer, I told Jesus, “I want to do this all the time – everyday!” I started researching full-time mission opportunities, and sure enough I found FOCUS. I then dreamed of the ability to pursue this once I graduated.

Soon after, the Lord called me to transfer to Illinois State University to complete my degree in Elementary Education. It was there that the Lord introduced me to FOCUS missionaries and re-lit this desire for everyday mission.

Through living with the missionaries, I was able to experience their mission in a personal way. I saw the joys they felt from bringing just one soul to Jesus. I experienced the sorrow they felt when someone on their support team was struggling. I saw the authentic virtue these women held.

I knew I couldn’t escape this calling, this burning in my heart. Through discernment, the Lord called me to be His missionary through FOCUS! What an honor it is to fight for the salvation of souls every day!

“Not that I seek the gift: but I seek the fruit which increases to your credit.” – Philippians 4:17

When I said yes to the call to FOCUS, I also said yes to relying financially and spiritually on my mission partners. By giving financially and spiritually, together we can lead souls to Christ in an active way to fulfill His Great Commission! I am beyond blessed to know so many generous souls who are as eager to save souls as I am. When you say yes, you are not only supporting me, but you are supporting the Church and its lost, hungry souls. When you give, the Lord looks kindly upon you.

“Well done, good and faithful servant” – Matthew 25:21.
