Hey I’m Cole and I am a FOCUS Missionary at Drexel University.

Where I serve

I will be serving at Drexel University in Philadelphia and as a Pittsburgher I am expecting a warm welcome. See yinz in September.

My Story

Living away from my Catholic Faith for the majority of my life I was left feeling empty and searching for meaning. How I tried to find that meaning and sense of fulfillment was through achievement.

The first achievement I pursued was basketball. When I was in high school I became one of the top players in The WPIAL (Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League) and even though it taught me work ethic and teamwork it still didn’t fill this emptiness in my heart.

After high school I moved to Florida. There I searched for meaning through Greek life and climbing the social ladder at Florida Gulf Coast University. After 4 years of achieving being the leader of my fraternity and getting most of the school to know my name I still was left with that same feeling. That same longing for something more.

Lastly after college I moved to New York City to pursue acting. I achieved success early in my career. The first job I worked on being the #1 movie of 2025 “It Ends with Us”. There was no better job for a first time actor to work on than this and still I was left with the same thought. There has to be more.

At this point I am working with Blake Lively, living in a penthouse in New York City and my social circle is now the largest it’s ever been.

So why at the same time was I still feeling that no matter what I achieved I would still be left empty and unfulfilled.

At this point I didn’t know what to do. So I did the only thing left to do.

Fall to my knees and pray.

At that moment God came to me and showed me who He was. (Yes I’m just as shocked as you)

For the first time since I was a kid I felt at peace without having to get everyone to like me, loved without having to achieve everything and complete clarity and the truth about what’s actually going on in my life.

“Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.”

– John 14:5-6

That is why I said yes to Focus, to being a missionary on college campuses and to spread the truth of who God is and what He has done in my life.

I am going to Drexel University in Philadelphia (Go Steelers) to spread the Good News. The Good News that before I fell to my knees in prayer I was empty, hopeless and believed in all the lies of the world and after I am now full, hopeful, and living out the truth.
