We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I serve at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As a Greek missionary, my outreach is focused towards men in fraternities and varsity sports on campus.
I grew up in a Catholic Christian household, frequenting Church on Sundays and other youth group opportunities, but didn’t really have a strong relationship with the Lord. Going to college, I got really involved with my fraternity, but also got wrapped up in a list of bad habits. Thanks to Focus and the University Newman Center, I was shown that forgiveness is possible, shown a relationship with Christ, and was able to lead other men in my fraternity through Bible Studies and Discipleship.
When I saw how Focus helped guide me, I knew I wanted to do something to help others with the same guidance. I felt God calling me to Focus so I could help other fraternity men learn how to live truly free, all He needed was my cooperation.
Your monthly donation will allow me to serve on mission full time, and form deep, authentic friendships with the men on campus. I will be able to lead groups of men in bible study and discipleship, equipping them with the knowledge and zeal necessary to be sent out, leading their own groups just as I have. Your support has a direct impact on young adults who are in the most critical stage of their life in following the faith.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
