God has called me to serve at the Denver Support Center (FOCUS National Headquarters) in Denver in the MPD Department! I am an MPD Specialist and I’m doing everything I can to aid the FOCUS apostolate in continued growth in our Mission Partner Development! By being a missionary to the missionaries, like St. Mary Magdalene was, I get to serve God in a beautiful way. The MPD Team loves training and supporting our missionaries to love and care for their mission partners. The ultimate aim of our mission is to love and care for our mission partners- but we love our missionaries as well by aiding them in loving their mission partners. Getting to love missionaries and their mission partners is a unique gift. Praise God for the work He has given me!

When I entered college at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB- Go Gauchos!!), I didn’t know if God really existed or not, and therefore did not truly believe in my cradle Catholic faith. I studied and graduated from UCSB with a double major in Political Science and History. On that note, I had always put other passions ahead of God in my life- movies, theater, the arts, Boy Scouts, history, politics, sailing, traveling, and many others- and never had truly found Jesus. However, when I got to UCSB, I encountered the FOCUS missionaries on campus right away and was instantly struck by their witness of holiness. I firmly decided to take a closer look at Catholicism and got involved with ministry right away. I soon had a powerful encounter with Jesus Christ in prayer on the St. Mark’s SEARCH retreat, and decided to make Jesus the center of my life. Since then, I have experienced deeper joy than I ever though imaginable in my heart and mind as Christ has continually drawn me deeper into Himself and His Blessed Life. I want nothing more than to see all human beings feel the same joy that I have felt, and be utterly convicted of their identities as Beloved Sons and Daughters of God.

The prayers and financial support of my mission partners make my missionary work possible. I literally cannot do it without you. I am honored by all of the good people that the Lord has put in my life to support me in serving Him and His Church. By supporting me, you make it possible for students to encounter Jesus Christ and experience the same utterly changed existence that I have. When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to support me and join with me throughout this mission. By joining me, you get to build up treasure in Heaven for yourself in a blessed way- you impact the lives of so many, and that has eternal weight. I am blessed by the incredible people who have joined with me in mission.
