We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hello and welcome!
My name is Dina, and I’m a FOCUS Missionary.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
— John 15:5
The Lord has called me to serve at George Mason University in Virginia—Go Patriots! I’m excited to be serving on such a vibrant and dynamic campus.
I was born in Panama, and four years ago, I moved to the U.S. to pursue a double Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Life Sciences Communication.
While I grew up in a Catholic family and country, it wasn’t until college that I began diving deeper into my faith and realized that I was made for more. While attending the University of Wisconsin–Madison, I had the opportunity to get involved at Saint Paul’s Catholic Newman Center, where I met a FOCUS missionary who invited me to join a Bible study and take part in further discipleship classes.
As I continued to receive formation during my college years, I felt the call to lead Bible studies and was eventually commissioned to disciple other students on campus.
Seeing the need on campus to reach students and invite them into a relationship with the greatest Lover—Jesus—has ignited a deep desire in me to help them come to know Him.
My deepest desire is to lead students to Christ. Jesus has completely transformed my life, and I long to share that same joy with others by introducing them to the life-changing message of the Gospel.
When I said yes to FOCUS, I also said yes to relying completely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners.
Mission is for everyone—whether sharing the Gospel directly or supporting it behind the scenes. “The Good News” cannot be shared without people like you.
If you’re interested in partnering with me, please let me know the best way to reach you, and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
