My Story

Despite growing up in a Catholic family, I found myself entering college looking for happiness in all the wrong places. I was feeling painful loneliness and emptiness of life without Christ when I encountered the FOCUS missionaries at my campus. After going on a retreat, I had a life changing encounter with Christ where I realized that He was the thing I had been looking for all along. The FOCUS missionaries at my campus accompanied me on my journey with Christ by engaging in authentic friendship, teaching me to pray, and helping me to learn and live virtue.

My life was on one trajectory and because of FOCUS, it is on a completely different path. And it breaks my heart to think of all the people on the college campus today who have the same longing for something more and don’t know where to find it. After 2 life changing years serving as a missionary on campus at the Univsersity of Northern Colorado, I moved to the Recruitment and Retention team to aid in the effort to send more missionaries to every corner of the globe.
