My Story

My heart first developed a zeal for mission when I had my first personal encounter with the Lord at age 16 in high school. As I went on to college and chose a major, many different career options crossed my mind. However, I was never convinced any of them were what God had planned for my life. Eventually, I knew through deeper discernment that mission was where God was calling me to serve Him right now.

When I went to college, I encountered FOCUS as a freshman at Mississippi State University. Through attending bible studies, SEEK conferences, and discipleship, I became convicted to go deeper into my life with Jesus. I began to attend daily Mass and pray regular holy hours with the Blessed Sacrament. This radically reoriented my life as a college student. As I got more involved as a student leader in Focus, seeing the fruits from leading my bible studies and discipleship pod, I was only more and more reaffirmed that God was calling me to this mission. I could see the dire need for relationship with Christ among college students, and FOCUS offers a real solution.

Your Impact

My grandmother always told me, “When I get up to the gates of Heaven, I don’t want God to ask me, ‘Why didn’t you tell them?'” This has stuck with me and fueled my heart for fulfilling His Great Commission. It is our duty as Christians and as Catholics to tell everyone the Good News that we already know, because we can’t be sure that anyone else in their lives ever will.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely solely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know the best way to reach you.
