We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness. He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you.” – Pope John Paul II
Hi! My name is Emily Milkowski and I am a first-year missionary serving at Towson University in Maryland (go tigers)!!
Growing up in a Catholic family, my life was filled with church on Sundays, prayers, and all the traditions that come with it. But honestly, it wasn’t until my senior year of college that I really found Jesus for myself. After some soul-searching moments, I finally came to realize how intensely I needed, and desired, Jesus on a more personal level. I was so blessed to have FOCUS missionaries on my campus. It was through their love and guidance that I discovered how to have a deep, intimate connection with Jesus – and it changed everything for me. Through Bible studies, heartfelt conversations with friends, and so much more, my faith deepened in ways I never expected (or knew was possible).
That experience and the inspiration of those missionaries made me realize I wanted to help others experience the same sense of love, joy, and fulfillment found in God. So, I’ve decided to become a missionary to support other students who are trying to figure out their purpose and direction in life, just like I was. I can’t wait to share this love and hope with them and be there for them on their own journeys.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I am excited to continue to build upon a small team of monthly supporters who desire to be a part of this mission and make disciples WITH me! If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
